Kaipara Heads, May 21. Arrived — Defiance, brigantine, from Auckland. Sailed—Huia, schooner, for Lyttelton. Auckland, May 22. Sailed—Poherua, for Westport ; Opolu, for Fiji, Wellington, May 21. Arrived—G. M. Tucker, from Newcastle, with 700 tons coal. On Sunday and Monday, the Bth and 9th, she encountered a heavy gale with high sea. She was hove-to all the time, but she sustained no damage. Takapuna, from New Plymouth. Arrived—H.M.S. Taurauga, from Napier. Sailed—Penguin, for Lyttelton. Port Chalmkrs, May 22. Arrived—Westralia, from Lyttelton. Sailed—Kini, for West Coast; Talune, for Sydney, via Cook Strait.
