Richard Denney, an old settler, living at Surrey Hills, was accidentally struck tonight by a vehicle in Queen street, and died on the road to the Hospital. STRATFORD, May 21. With reference to the recent fire by which the Stratford Dairy Factory was destroyed, the directors have decided to rebuild at once on an improved plan, including refrigerators. The risk of £1600 held by the New Zealand office on the destroyed building was reinsured to the extent of £850, and the £700 on the stock was reinsured for £500. Mr Levi Sarten is announced as a candidate for the Egmont seat at the general election in the Liberal interest. WELLINGTON, May 21.
