His Lordship Bishop Julius was a passenger for Timaru by Saturday's express. Mr T. Teschemaker went south by the express. Mr Scobie Mackenzie, M.H.R., was a passenger for the South by the express on Saturday. The Rev. T. H. Lyons left by the same train. The Rev. G. Burgess was a passenger from iWelliogton by the Westralia on Saturday. Lady 0. Knox was a passenger for Wellington by the Kotoinahana on Saturday. Mr Wanklyn was a passenger by the same steamer. Mr fidcKerras went by the Rotomahana on Saturday. Dr. and Mrs Bernan and family were in Christchurch on Saturday on their way to join the Gothic for England. A_r and Mrs F. Trask, of Nelson, are on a visit to Christchurch. Mr John Ross, of Wellington, is in town. The following from Christchurch have booked passages by the Union steamship Waikare on her South Sea Islands trip :— Mr and Mrs A. E. G. Rhodes, Messrs W. Boag, and A. S. Arrowsmith. Mr Alfred Harrison, of Ashburton, has just returned from a holiday trip through various parts of Australia.
