LODGE MEETINGS.

At the ordinary meeting of the Court Star of Canterbury, A.0.F., the C.R. Bro. J. J. Armitage in the chair, the Woodwards reported Fourteen members on the sick fund. The secretary reported with regret the death of Bro. Kohn, of Court Southern Cross. One new member was admitted. The receipts of the evening were £96 6s. It was announced that a concert on behalf of the United Friendly Societies' Benevolent Fund would be held on the 24th inst.

The fortnightly meeting of the Anchor Lodge, U.A.0.D., was held in the lodge room, Wooleton, on Wednesday, A.D. Bro. G. Duggan in the chair. Bros- Duggan and Rhodes were appointed delegates to the Friendly Societies' dispensary committee. After the ordinary business songs were given by Bros, J. H. Spence and Howell. At the meeting of Canterbury Kilwinning No. 23 Lodge, N.Z.C., on Thursday night, at Lyttelton, the visitors numbered about a score from various lodges, including one from Scotland. The third degree was worked by the W.M., Bro. Murray, assisted by P.M.'s Bros. Grubb, Collins and Murphy. Subsequently the oenal fourth degree was held and the toast of the visitors was duly honoured.
