ANOTHER BURGLARY.
The gang who recently perpetrated such an alarming series of burglaries appear to be again at work, and to have added another to their long fist. Tlie spot selected by them for their operations on this occasion was a cottage in St. Asaph street West, at present occupied by Mr Moher, who has recently arrived here from Invercargill. As far as is known tbe burglar effected an entrance by a front window, on Wednesday afternoon, at about three o'clock, at which time none of the family were at home. The house was evidently searched for money, but two money boxes, one containing fi\*e shillings and the other threepence, was all that was carried off. After ransacking the house the burglar apparentlj* made his escape from tbe back, and climbed over a fence which gave access into a right-of-way. The impudence of the whole proceeding may be seen from the fact that the house is in a thickly populated quarter, and is in full view of the Lincoln road and St. Asaph street, from the latter of which it is only separated by a comparatively low iliacrocarpa hedge and a small strip of garden. It may be noted that thi3 affair took place after the reported departure of the gang who have been at work lately.
