Both Wainwright and gave a groat exhibition of batting, tho latter's innings being chanceless. Hayward was alow in commencing, but afterwards hit out vigorously. Hirst and Drnce were 'hitting splendidly and scoring rapidly when the stumps were drawn. The scores were:— South Acstrah-. Haglcy Park lost eveningi when the latter increased their, second innings score from 56 for seven' wickets to 121 for eight wickets (Buchanan 37 not out, Green 17 not out, and Wilder 14). The Midland require 62 runs to win, and they have two wickets to fall. Tho Junior Cup, College v U.C.C.C, j match was continued last evening. College j lost two more wickets for 56 runs, making their score 216 for seven wickets. Lindsay added 32 to his score, and Overton 15 by hard hitting, the others played carefully. The game will be continued on Saturday afternoon.
