Mr G. 6. Stead went to Dunedin by yesterday's express.

Mr J. Bain left Christchurch yesterday to bo present at the Otago Jubilee festivities, Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M., returned to Christchurch by the express last night. Major Collins and Captain Lomax, of the Council of the- New Zealand Rifle Association, arrived last night from Oattiavu. Major Sominerville leaves Oatnaru on Saturday. Mr A. Cox arrived from the South by last night's express. Mr and Mrs Reid, of Wellington, are staying in town. Mr and Mrs Moss Jonas: arrived from Timaru last night. They went on to Lyttelton, where they remain a fow days before taking their dep.Mture for the North Island.

Mr C. J. Harper is in town. Mr W. C. Marter, sub-editor of the New Zealand Times, Secretary of the New Zealand Rowing Association and the Wellington Rugby Union, arrived by the Rotomahana yesterday and leaves for Dnnedin to-day.

Mr Lang, dairy expert, wa3 a passenger for DuTicdin by yesterday's express. The Rev. Father O'Reilly, of the Thames, was a passenger for the North by the Rotomahana yesterday.

Sir Francis Dillon Bell was a passenger for Wellington by the Rotomah-na yesterday. The Hon. W. C. Walker went by the game steamer.

Messrs A. and W. Ballinger were passengers by the same steamer.
