ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
(PRE?* ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.)
NAPIER, March 18.
The body of a middle-aged man, named William Gray, was found this morning on it ledge of rock in the Bluff overlooking the harbour. The deceased recently complained of insomnia and pains in his head. He was reported to the police as missing. At the inquest a verdict was returned that while suffering from insomnia deceased mistook his way, and accidentally fell over the cliff. The police report that the body found on the beach at Mohaka was unrecognisable, but could not be that of Charles Wright, as it must have been in the water for several months. The country is so precipitous that tbe body had to be buried where it W AB found.
A hawker at Annat had his trap considerably smashed, on Wednesday, through the horse taking fright and bolting.
