Melbourne, January 26. Lord Brassey had a narrow escape from drowning after witnessing the regatta. He was landing at the wharf when a heavy sea displaced the stage. The Governor was thrown into the water. He was swimming abbot for several minutes before he was hauled aboard the boat. Hβ was much exhausted and considerably bruised.
