News has been received that for many months certain districts in Borneo have been terrorised by a band of piratical desperadoes, led by a notorious renegade named Mat Sullen. The band made frequent descents upon the British settlements and posts, committing wholesale ravage and murder, eventually capturing Fort Farm, in North Borneo.
