NEW SOUTH WALES v VICTORIA.
Received January 24th, 10.50 p.m. SYDNEY", January 24. Heavy rain prevented the cricket match being resumed.
A match was played on Saburday between the Kaiapoi first and Sumner Cricket Club, resulting in a win for Kaiapoi. Scores— Sumner 55, Kaiapoi 62 (Martin 15, G. Rollinson 12, Rinaldi 12). Martin, and Clayton bowled best for Kaiapoi, and Malone and Roberts for Sumner. A match was played at Sydenham Park on Saturday, between beams, representing bhe Prkss Company and bhe Christchurch Working Men's Club. (The former won by 29 runs on tha' first innings. Scores—Press Company 97 (Hebden 32 and Betts and Black 11 each) and 30 for no wicket (Hebden 25, not out); Working Men's Club 68 (Lillyman 14). For bhe winners Allardyce book seven wickets for 14 runs and Ryan bowled best for the losers.
