(Thursday, November 11. AFTERNOON SITTING, fhe Speaker took the chair at 2.50. ADJOURJTMEIfT. Mr W. C. WALKER moved that the Council at its rising should adjourn till Wednesday next. After some discussion the motion was agreed to. NATIVE LAND LAWS. In accordance with a request from the Lower House a Select Committee was appointed to consider the Native Land Laws Amendment Bill, with power to sit with a limilar Committee of the House. BILLS. The Mining Companies Act Amendment Bill waa read a third time and passed. The Inveic*rt{ill Racecourse Trustees Empowering Bill was read a second time, Ibe Council adjourned at 3 p.m.
