Readford made the running to half the distance, where Standard took up the running, and after a splendid finish won by a neck. Time, lmia 18sec. THB MKMBKRS' HANDICAP, a weep of 5 sove each, with 200 soys added ; second 50 soys from the yrize. For three-year-olds only. One mile and a furlong. Mr H. C. Vonia led till reaching the St. Leger Stand, where Phillip shot out and, galloping with great determination, won easily by three lengths. Time, lmin 48sec. THIS SKCOND STEEPLECHASE, a handicap sweep 0/ 10 soys each, with 300 soys added; second 50 sove, and third 23 sove from the prize. About three miles. Mr J. Williamson's b g Ditto, by The Dauphiu— Fair Lillian, asred, 9st 21I> .. (Grimes) 1 Mr B. J. Thome's eh g I'.vraell, aged, 9at 7ib (Fallon) 2 Mr F. Foy's b g Fairyhouse, 6 yrs, lOst 41b (McNalty) 3 Seven started. Betting —5 to 2 agst Fairyhouse, 4 to 1 Whitefoot, 5 to 1 Cornet and Parnell, 6 to 10 to 1 the others. Reckless led to first jump, where Runnimede and Cornet fell, and Parnell, followed by Ditto, went to the front, where Reckless fell at the second of the tt-eblo opposite the stand, and the same obstacle proved fatal to Whitefoot the second time round. Paruell, who had never lost the lead, waa first over the last jump, but tired towards tho finish, and Ditto won by a dozen lengths; Fairyhouse beaten off third.. Timo, 7niin 14sec. THE WAYKRIiBY HANDICAP, a sweep of 10 sove each, witU 300 soys added: eeconrt 50 soys from the prize. One mile and three-quarters. Mr J. Borthwick'a blk g aiferi, 7st 210 .. 1 Mr T. Uearup's b x Toruudo, 6 yrs, bit, M 2 Mr J. Coppard's hi , jj Surge, 5 yos, 6st 71b 3 Seven started. Betting—2 to 1 agst Fadladeen, 6 to 1 Agate. Surge ru'hed away with a long lead, followed by Agate and Fadladeen, and maintained it well into the straight, where Agate and Tornado made their efforts, tho former winning by two lengths. Time, 3min 4£sec. THIS BANDWICK PLATE, a sweep ol 10 soys. each with 100 soys added; second, 75 soys; aud third, 25 soys from the prize. Three miles. Mr F. Gaxiou'a br c Fucile, by Carbine—Venice, 4 yrs, 9st .. .. .. .. Mr H. Bradbam's bo Holhrook, by liochicl— Hussy, 3 yrs, &st 121b .. .. .. .. Z Mr T. Payten's by h Projectile, by Oheeter~Fer-cu*-ion, s affed, 9at 911).. .. .. ~ 3 Newman, 9st 61b, also started. Betting—b to 4 on. Holbrook, A to 1 against Projectile, 8 to 1 tho others. Holbrook quickly established a lead of ten lengths, followed in order by Projectile, Newman, and Fucile. On entering the back stretch the aocond time round Fucile went up into third place, and ran up second rounding the bend. He caught the leader opposite the St. Leger stand and won by hdJf a length, Projectile a bad third. Time, smin 37Asec. THB FINAL HANDICAP, a sweep ol 5 soya each, with 2QO soys added; second 50 soya from tho prizo. One mile and a quarter. Mr J. Northern's b m Aurea, by Aberaorn— Aurelia, 6 yre, 7st 101b .. .. ..1 Mr R. Wootton's b g The Chief, 4 yrs, 7st 131b „ 2 Mr T. Giles's oh c King Olovis, aged, ?st 71b «, 3 Sixteen started.
