Press Association - By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, September 18.
A large crowd, inclnding many prominent cricketers, took farewell of Stoddart's team a.% St. Pancras station. There was much cheering. The Hon. Ivo Bligh, C. T. Thornton, Vornon, Loekwood, Brocknell, A. E. Trotb and O'Halloron accompanied the team to Tilbury Docks. Prince Ranjitsinjhi joins the team at Naples. Before leaving, and in reply to the toast of his health, Stoddart said he knew a severe task lay before him, but he was hopeful as to the results of the test matches. He regretted nob being accompanied by some who helped in the success of the 1895 tour, especially raendoning Ward and Brown. The new men in the team bad great claims to their inclusion, and he hoped they would do themselves full justice. Hβ did not claim that the team represented England, but considered ib one of the best all-round elevens that had ever gone to the colonies.
