At the Ashburton Saleyards the entry was about 2000 sheep and 20 head of cattle. The prices were—Fat crossbred ewes 9a 9d to 11s, fat crossbred ewes and wethers Us 10d to 13s 3d, ewes and lambs, with good per cent, of lanlbs, 6s-6d to lls, lambs given in ; hoggets, crossbred, 7s 6d to 10s. Cattle —Fat steers £4 4s to £6 2s 6d, heifers £3 10s to £6, dairy cows £3 to £4, stores 10s to 30s.
