(PIiKSS ASSOCIATION' TELKGRAMS.) ? WELLINGTON, September 17. The Wellington Union intends to move in tho mailer of the allegations of rough play against their team in the Otago-Wellington tnatn-h. The N<-\v Zealand Union also has decided to ask both the Wellington and the Otago Unions what action, if any, they propose to take in the matter. A letter has been received from the New South \Vale3 Union stating that nothing definite has been done about, a visit of an English team. If such a team came it would probably be under the auspices of tbe English Union, aud at ihe expense of New South Wales, who would require some compensation if the team visited New Zealand. Notice has been given of the following motion for a special meeting of the Rugby Union—"That in the interests of Rugby football in Otago, it i* desirable to sever the connection of the Otago Union with the New Zealand Union, and the Committee take the necessary steps to do so ; and contingent on the motion being carried, to consider any motions having for their object the formation of an alliance between the Unions of the South Island of the colony.''
