WEST EYRETON.
The Board met on September 13th Present—Messrs Addinell (Chairman) Con' way, Horroll, Hunter and Smith. ' The surveyor's report was approved. Mr M J. Dixon applied for leave to erect a fence and gate aoross the roads at the junction ol the Lyre and Cust road and the South Eyre road. The application was granted on ihe usual terms. The Chairman was authorised to sell the pines in the plantations at 5s pe . tree for the large ones and at his own discretion for the smaller ones. Mr J G Webster, engineer to the VVahnakatiri' Ashley Water-race Board, attended to explain the provisions proposed to be made for dealing with the storm water crossing the roads in connection with the water races ■ also the construction of fords where the races cross the roads. The Board agreed to leave the matter in the hands of the engineer and give him leave to use the Board's shingle pits to get what materials he requires for the work free of charge. Accounts amounting to £47 10s 10d were passed. S
