The Wellington Racing Club "have removed the disqualification from all the horses which took part at the unlicensed meeting at Greytown North on the Queen's Birthday; voted £10 to Jas. Laing, who waß injured by the fall of Barman in the Trial Steeplechase at the Winter Meeting; also made a donation of £10 10s to the publishers of the "New Zealand Turf Register," with the condition that they are lo receive ten copies of tho ** Register." The annual meeting of the Club will be adjourned from the 30th instant to September 6th. Tho only Domination for the position of President is Colonel Pearce. For other positions there is only one nomination, which ensures election; but with regard to the Stewards,; three old members declined to stand for re-election, and a ballot will be taken. The question of licensing bookmakers will also bo discussod.
