Mr Deakm secured the insertion of a new clause in the Commonwealth Bill, providing for tho dissolution of the Senate should it again disagree with any measure passed by the House alter the latter was dissolved and re* elected on the subject in dispute. A further amendment was also carried, providing for! a double dissolution in case of a deadlock.
HoBARt, August 20.' The Assembly has finished the Oommonwealtth Bilk The Council adopted the bulk of the amendments, but reduced Ministers' salaries, and also the payment of members. The latter was fixed at £300.
