rapid strides in the same direction. At the Ma—ura Preesjing Works, fe>r instance, the average daily intake of rabbit 9 has been over 10,000, w£ilst the tendency of deliveries is still to increase. According to the official returns of the Board of Trade the total imports of rabbits into the United Kingdom last year amounted to 170,87_0wt. Take a rabbit to average 41b, with skin, this would give a gross total of 4,784,400. Adding the Australian shipments to those received from the Continent, it will be seen that the latter are increasing so largely that there is just the fear that unless judiciously handled shippers may have to face a drop in price.
