The amount of £1 I2s 2d to the Hawke's Bay Relief Fund credited to Springfield School ought to be.Springston School. The following letter was forwarded yesterday -.—"Uμ Worship the Mayor of Napier. Dear sir,—l beg to enclose you herewith a draft for the sum of ten ppunde, partly the proceeds of a concert held in Sumner, ana partly additional subscriptions, for the benefit of the Hawke's Bay Relief Fund.' This, with the amount already forwarded, ' will make Sumner's contribution £30. Allow mc, on behalf of the residents of that borough, to express a hope that'the eubscriptiona to the fund in question will be sufficient to enable you to at any rate alleviate the'snfferinge of those who were injured by the flood, although they may not be sufficient to altogether recoup them their losses.—-Yours obediently, Eowabd R. Dkaoon, Mayor of Suuinor."
