MR G. H. NORMINGTON.
The subjoined extract from the Minneapolis Times, of April 19th, will be of interest to Mr G. H. Normington's friends : —"At the close of the Easter service in Gethsemane church last evening, the entire choir of men and boys assembled in orderly ranks in the choirroom and formally presented George H. Normington, their retiring organist and precentor, with handsome testimonials of esteem. The token on the part of the men was a very handsome set of French mantel clock and vases of ormulu pattern, gold and blue porcelain. The boys presented him with a large group picture of themselvesin a tastefully designed frame. The surprised recipient was too overcome with emotion to more than utter in broken sentences his gratitude for the gifts, and sincere regret at parting with his associates in the praise service of this church." From Minneapolis, Mr Normington goes to St. Paul, Minnesota, as organist and choirmaster of St. John's church, in that city.
