THE CALLIOPE.
The New Zealand Herald says :—The cruiser Calliope, which had been laid up at Portsmouth ever since her wonderful escape from the harbour of Apia, Samoa, five years ago, during the fearful hurricane which wrecked so many vessels of other nationalities, has been reeouimissioned as overflow ship to the sea-going training vessel Northampton. The Calliope sailed on a cruise on the 11th March.
