Mr Brown and a friend escaped with a few scratches and the gig was righted without any serious damage. A serious accident occurred yesterday at a place called Stoney Beach, between Taylor's Mistake and the Lighthouse. A young woman named Annie Watt, (laughter of Mr Henry Watt, carpenter, of Ferry road, was sitting on the cliSs with her sister, while some others of the party were on the beach. On getting up to leave the place she missed her footing and fell on to the beach, a distance of some 30ft. She was picked up unconscious, and word sent to Sumner. A boat was then brought round by three fishermen, and the injured girl was brought to Sumner. She was then taken on a stretcher to betfather's residence, where she was attended by Drs.
