The corps were then inarched into an adjoining paddock, where the fen dejoie was fired, the Royal salute given, three cheers led by Lieut. -Col. Gordon, and the troops matched past in quarter column. About half-past eleven the whole of the proceedings were terminated, and the corps, headed by the Garrison Band, commenced the return to town by road. Cathedral square was reached at two o'clock in the afternoon, when those of the companies who were not going to Port or Lancaster Park were dismissed.
