RIFLE SHOOTING.

On Friday a match, fifteen a eide, was fired on the range of the Rangiora Rifle Volunteers between that corp3 and the Chrisfcchurch Engineers. The ranges were 200, 300, and 500 yds five shots at each. Rangiora won by one point, both on thq range and at a Morris tube match in the evening. Sergeant-Major Jones 74, Sergeant Evans' 67, Corporal Taylor 62, Corporal Taylor 61,; Qr.-Mr.-Sergeant Watts 60, Sapper Mapplebeck 57, Sapper Beynon 42, Sapper Turtle 29 (did not complete the 500 yds range), Sapper Morrow 53, Sapper Roberts Ab, Corpora! Buntin 46, Sapper Simpson 46, Sapper Barry 49> Sapper Freebury 45 ; total 818. Rangiora Rifles — Lieut. D'Auvergne 85, Sergt. F. Gulliver 78, Corporal Withara 72, Sergt.- S: Anvergne 69, Corporal Hayman 65, Private Geddea 6V Corporal Bell 62, Corporal Rule 53, Private Humphries 58, (did not complete at 500 yds), Private DeTroy 48, Private Scoone 30, Private Thorne 37, Private Morris 29, Private Smith 38, Private Laskey 23 ; total, 819.
