The Governor presided at a meeting of rowing men, at which it was decided to send an Australian eight-oared crew to compete at the Henley regatta in July. SYDNEY, April 15. The New South Wales Rowing Association has decided not to send an eight-oar crew to Melbourne to compete in the forthcoming intercolonial race unless the Victorian Rowing Association gives an assurance that the race will be held under the amateur definition adopted at the Conference held in Sydney last year. The Association favoured the sending of an Australian eight to compete at Henley, but decided that it was too late to get into training for this year.
