' (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, April 15. The time for trout,,perch and tench fishing in ' the Southern acclimatisation district is extended until April 22nd. The shooting season for, Native game in the Ashburton aud Waitaki districts is fixed from April 17th to 31st July; in the Lake district from 17th April to 31st July*. The season for imported game in Waitaki from June Ist to 31st July. Regulations under the Alcoholic Liquor* Inspection Act, 1896, are gazetted. The close season for seals is> further extended until June 30th, 1898. Mr J. M. Batham is appointed Judge of the Native Lands and Valuation Court- 8 and District Land Registrar of Deeds and Examiner of Titles.at Gisborne. ~Mr G. M. Snolson, of Palmerston North, is gazetted a Coroner within tlie colony. The war medal of New Zealand has bee* issued to Mr William Bardell. St. George's Day, April 23rd, is gazette**" a public holiday in the Government officer* throughout the colony. .
