Mr Andrew Rutherford has resigned as bandicapper, having nominated horses for the New Year's Meeting. The Club has authorised Mr Young to handicap for all the events. MACKENZIE STAKES; one mile, minimum ; weight, 9st 71b—Mainstay Hit 6lb, Contractor list lib, Leo list, Spondutix lOst 101b, Matchlock lOst Bib, Shamrock lOst 41b. Kinsale lOst 21b. Penalties of not less than 71b are provided for all winners after the declaration of the weights.
Quiltiri and Belligerent were shipped to Wellington on Saturday en route to Palmerston North for the Manawatu Club's meeting. Xheir owner leaves to-morrow.
