Eauri gum—2B67 caeee were offered, of which 837 were sold at a slight advance ; three - quarters scraped brought 97s 6d; scraped 675. The stock on hand is 952 cases. Silver is quoted at 2s s|d per oz. : The Foochow tea market is prac- \ ideally cleared of Panyong3. The stocks now consist of undesirable I descriptions and common brands. The market \is virtually closed for the season. The total exports to the colonies amounted to 6,750,0001b. ■Sydne*, December 19. I The wool sales have closed \ but will be resumed on January 4th. During the series 310,280 bales were offered, being a decrease of 26,658; 276,686 were sold, being a decrease of 28,127 bales compared with the corresponding six months last year. The sales closed actively in all seotions. The best classes were a farthing below the highest prices; medium was practically unchanged; inferior and lambs wool irregular, and scoured weaker. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Limited, have received cable advice from their head office, dated London 17th inst., as follows: — " Fair demand for hides (in general). Any change in prices is in feyouif of buyers."
