AUSTRALIAN MEAT IN AUSTRIA.
VISIT OF DELEGATES. Prew Association— By Telegraph—Copyright Sydney, December 17. Three representatives of the Vienna Butchers' Association have been visiting Sydney to make arrangements for regular shipments of meat to Austria. Australian frozen meat is already largely consumed in Austria, and some time ago an enterprising timber merchant entered- into contracts with the principal wholesale butchering ef tablishments to supply them with Australian meat. The supplies proving insufficient to meet the demand, the contractor raised the price, which the butchers resented, and they combined to send delegates to Australia to arrange for constant supplies at a uniform price. The delegates express themselves highly pleased at the result of their enquiries, and are confident that a large trade will be opened up. They have completed arrangements for shipments of extensive consignments within the next few weeks, and it is their intention to visit Queensland to make similar arrangements.
