The New York papers do , not seem to have raved about Nellie Stevrarfc in "The Artist's Model":—The New York Herald gives Miss Stewart one line:—lt is trite, but the■■'"Modal" without Marie Tempest who created the part in London, is like Hamlet without the Dane. Mr Hayden Coffin is not missed, but Miss Tempest's charming little voice and method which made much of little are quite beyond Miss Nellie Stewart's best exertions. The New York Sun says :—Nellie Stewart, who replaces Marie Tempest, of the London production, suggested that capable artist only by being so entirely different.
