ROBBERY OF A POST OFFICE.

(PEESB ASSOCIATION TELEGRAMS.) WELLINGTON, March 12. The postal authorities here have received information that the Rotorua Post Offico was broken into the night before last and £200 stolen. It appears that the thieves broke into the Postmaster's fconae and, he thinks, dragged him while asleep and obtained the keys of tbe Post Office safe from his trousers pocket. They then effected an entrance into the Post Office by breaking a window and made off with the contents of the office safe, which included £200 in cash. All the contents of the safe have been recovered excepting the cash. Two men were to-day arrested by ihe police on suspicion of being directly concerned in the robbery. AUCKLAND, March 12. The Rotorua Post Office was burglariously opened and £230 stolen from the safe. A number of postal notes and registered letters were found in a paddock with, a roll of notes. ,
