The feeling in crickec circles against the exclusion of Johns and Harry from the Australian Eleven rum very high, the general opiaion being that it is unjustified and unwarranted. Harry states that he had prac 1 * tised since hia leg was injured, and found it was as aoaad as ever it was, and he is as lit ds any man in the team. He intends to take legal action if hia exclusion is insisted oa. At a meeting of the Cricket Association, Mr Moir said that Johns was excluded in deference to the howling of the Sydney crowd. It wae unjust and monstrous to displace him at the last hour. The test he was submitted to in taking fast bowling was not a proper one, and Kelly was given easy bowliug by hia friends. As a protest against -the alterations he moved chat the consideration of the Cricket Council's minutes be postponed, and added that> Harry had been put out for the ostensible reason that his knee was bad when they knew it was ail right. Mr Clarke, iv seconding the motion, said the treatment of Johns by the Sydney crowd was disgraceful. Although Kelly had to keep wicket to vastly different, bowling he did not show better work. The crowd had evidently influenced the Match Committee. Several other meinbere spoke in equally indignant terms and the resolution was carried. Later. The inclusion of Johns makes Harry's exclusion practically indefensible. It is now possible that Hill will stand aside in his favour. LONDON, March 11. The Daily Neios says the honours of a splendid match rested with the "disconsolate" team.
