THE HOROWHENUA COMMISSION.
(PEE3S ASSOCIATION TKLBGRAM.) LISVIN, March 10.
The proceedings of the Horowhenua Commission opened to-day at 10.30 a.m. There was a large attendance. Mr Fraaer, who appears ou hebalf of the Government, suggested thit Sir W. Boiler's remarks' on tbe opening day re the Government trafficking with fraudulent trustees were improper. He hoped it was wrongly reported, and that tbe proceedings would not- be marred by nopleasantness or recrimination. Major Kemp began his evidence on oath, and was examined by Sir W. Buller op to the luncheon adjournment.
