(PHESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) VyELLItfGION, March 9. The Committee whioh was appointed to revise the rales of the New Zealand Amateur Rowing Association has completed its labours. Several important alterations were I made, and the management of the Association is placed on an entirely new footing. It is proposed chat the affaire of the Association shall be conducted by a Managing Committee, consisting of the President, two Vice-Preßidents, Secretary and Treasurer, and a Committee of seven delegates. This body will be distinct from the Appeal ■fouQcil, to which all questions and dispute* ■arising out of the interpretation of the rules rehall be referred, as is done at present. The power to reinstate professional osramen as amateurs is not to be exercised in favour of any applicant who has wilfully infringed the amateur definition since October, 1895. Members of affiliated Clubs are allowed, with the consent of the Managing Committee, to compete in naval cutter races without; losing their amateur bUius, but no such member shall be allowed to receive a money prize. All championship events are to be open to crews of Clubs affiliated to any recognised Australasian Amateur Rowing Association, provided the members of such crews have been paying members of the Clubs they represent for not less than three months prior to the date of the regatta. A stringent rale deals with unfinancial members who may desire to leave their Club and join another affiliated Club. It is proposed to row maiden races on fixed seats. The colours entitled to be worn by the Association's representatives in intercolonial, contests are to be maroon flannel jackets with white facings, and special caps to be provided by the Association. The proposed new rules will be submitted to a special meeting of delegates at Pioton on the 4th of April.
