Two Famous Rides.—D. S. Bowman rode from Dunedin to Christchurch, a distance of 240 miles, in twenty-three hours forty-three minutes, reduoing the previous best time by forty minutes. The rider, who had to face bad roads and baffling winds, used the same machine throughout the journey.
