HAWKE'S BAY JOCKEY CLUB'S SUMMER MEETING.

(PBESS ASSOCIAriON TELE3RAM.) NAPIEB, December 26. The Hawke's Bay Jockey Club had a perfect day for their summer meeting, the weather being beautiful. A large number of the officers and crew of H.il.S. Katoomba were present at the special invitation of the Club and the former were entertained by the officials of the Club. The course was in srjlendid order and the times recorded fast. The sum of £4315 was passed through the machines, the best dividend being ou Tor* pina in the Christmas Handicap, £6 4s. The following are the results :— WELTER HANDICAP, of 50 soys; once round— Triton, Bst 121b, 1 ; Hippojrriff, Bst, 2; Heavenly Twin, Bst, 3. Seven started. A good flnUh. Dividend, £5 18s.
