Lancaster Park made 179 in the first- innings, Sims 61, Pavitt 22, Col- ' ville 30, Haldane 31. Luckie secured seven wickets for 58. Welliagtou knocked up 221 in their second innings, Salmon 11, Pearson 15, Hickson 70, Sanderson 40, Luckie, 21, Wilson, not out, 15; extras 25. Schofield took four wickets for 18, Sims three for 72. Requiring 177 runs to win Lancaster Park in their second innings failed to reach ihe number by 14, but batted 7 one man ehort. Mahar made 24, Sims 41, 3 Cooke 44, Orchard 23; extras 11. Eonaldaon ' secured eight wickets at the cost of 55 3 runs.
