MIDLAND RAILWAY ARBITRATION.

[By Telegraph.] (from our special correspondent.) WELLINGTON, December 14. Sir R. Stout asked for an adjournment until Monday, when he hoped to classify the evideuce, and eliminate a great deal of what would be repetition, aud so shorten the proceedings considerably. He had a number of witnesses ready to go on with, but their testimony would be merely a repetition of the .evidence already had, and he hoped to finish with bis witnesses by Tuesday. The Hon. E. Blake said the course suggested met with his approval. If the evidence was finished by Tuesday, he thought the best course to pursue would be for him to adjourn for a day, to enable counsel on both sides to prepare their addresses and arguments. The Court then adjourned.
