Three months' bills are discounted at f per cent. Consols 106f. New South Wales 4 per cent, inscribed stock, 114f; 3£ do, 106. Victorian 4 per cent., Ill; 3£ per cent., 103£. South Australian 4 per cent*., 110; 3i per cent., 108. Queensland 4 per cent., 110; 3£ per cent., 103$. Tasmanian 3$ per cent., 106. Western Australian 4 per cent., 123. New Zealand 4 per cent., 110; 8£ per cent., 103. New Zealand long-berried wheat, ex warehouse, nominal; South Australian do, 28s 6d, market firmer; Victorian do, 28s 6d, steady. Frozen mutton is unchanged. Beef, forequarters 2fd. Hemp is unchanged. Colonial peas, 27s 3d. Sugar—Best German beet, 10s 9d *, Java, 12s 6d. Colonial butter, 104s. The Bradford wool market shows a better inquiry and confidence is restored. No. 1 best Scotch pig iron, f.o.b. in Clyde, 475, steady. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cable message, dated London, 13th December :— Tallow — Market flat.
