THE S.S. BALMAIN.
The s.s. Balmain arrived yesterday morning from Newcastle, via Timaru, with part cargo of produce from the latter port. Sho completed her loading during the day. under the auspices of Messrs Kaye and Carter, aud sailed in the evening for Auckland. From .there she goes to Kaipara, where she loads timber for au Australian port. The Balmain is a steel screw steamer of 604 tons gross tonnage. Her dimensions are—Length 183 ft, breauth 27ft 2in, depth 10ft Biu. She was built at Glasgow iv 1883 by Dobie and Co. Her commander is Captain Forster.
