PBKSS ASSOCIATION TBL-GBAK.) - WELLINGTON, December 4. The Council of the Chamber of Commerce passed the following resolution-—"That* thio Chamber draws" the attention of the Chambers at Dunedin, Christchurch, and Auckland to the apparent necessity for more strictly enforcing the payment of accounts in compliance with the Chamber of Commerce terms, and that a letter be addressed to the Chambers at Auckland, Christchnroh and Dnnedin, asking that an efforb be made to bring the hardware trade of those places under the Chamber of Commerce ten—f, m has been done in Wellington." A resolution was carried expressing regret at the Postmaster-General's decision re delayed telegrams, and suggesting that, if an alteration is necessary, 6d for twelve words, including signature and address, despatched as at present, be substituted, and a half-penny for each additional word ; also, that the holders of P.O. boxes be allowed, oh payment of a fee of ss, to register an abbreviated telegraph address.
