(PBESS ASSOCIATION TELSQBAM.) DUNEDIN, November 30. Glorioue weather prevailed for the third day of the D.J.C. races, being the first real hot day experienced this season. There was a good attendance and the racing was interesting. The amount put through for the day was £6070 10s, making £17.263 101 foe the meeting, or £447 10s less than last year. Robertson) 3 37i, Jack Harkaway, lOst 81b (Ward) ; 814, Oaman, lOst, (Cochrane) ; 4L Invader, 9st 21b (McGrath), also started. Jack Harkaway and Oaman showed the way, Clarence bringing np the rear. On taking the first jump Rebel ranged alongside of Jack Harkaway, with Invader third. Lupus and Clarence l&st. Going along the back stretch Osman dropped into last place. After going once round Rebel and Invader were in the van, and they took the windmill jump in company, Jack Harkaway next. Entering the back stretch Lupus and Clarence moved up, and before the half-mile poet was reached the field were all together. Clarence's colours were soon in the front, and at the quarter mile post it was evident that he had the race at his mercy. He was first over the jump at the bottom of the straight, and, everything else being in trouble, Stewart landed his mount aa easy winner by a length, Rebel beating Lupus for second place by half a length, Oaman the same distance away fourth. Time, 4min B£sec. Dividends, £2 19s and £1 6s (10s tickets). PRESIDENTS HANDICAP, of 150 soys; second 20 soys, and third 10 soys from the stake. One mile and a distance. 93J. Mr K. From a good stare Marino with inside running took the lead, and passing the stand he just headed Silver Spec and Saracen, Mareinma fourth, and Barmby last. The positions were unchanged till the five furlong post was approached, when Barmby moved up into second place. Marino continued to hold pride of place, and won with something to spare by a length and a half trom Saracen, Maremma half a length away, just beating Silver Spec for third place. Barmby, who was eased up when pursuit of Marino was found hopeless, was last to finish. Time, 2min 3sec. Dividends, £5 16s and £2 10i.

Swivel and Van Buren were the first to break the line, but Speedwell quickly ran into second place behind Swivel. Leona raced to the front a quarter of a mile from home, and led into the straight, with Lady Somnua second. Once heads were fairly turned for home all were under punishment. Lady Somnua looked all over a winner till the last few strides, when Claremont, answering his rider's call with great gameness, managed to squeeze home by a nose, Leona a head away third. Dividends, £4 10s aud £2 13a (lfa tickets). The winner was bought in for £36.

RoaudiDg into the straight, the whip had to be applied to St. Clements to keep him alongside St. Ouida, while in the meantime Gipsy Grand was reducing the gap between himself and the leaders. St. Clements was first into the straight with St. Ouida, ana Gipay Grand tried to get up on the inside, but was blocked 100 yards from home, and had to draw right out when he seemed likely to win. St. 'Clements got home by a length and a half from St. Onida, who was half a length in front of Gipsy Grand. Time, lmin 4sec. Dividends, £2 9s and £1 3s. Rounding into the straight the field closed up, and Lord Zetland got on terms with Lady Spencer, but Quilbiri coming fast on the outside, settled thejpretensions of both, and near the post Emmeline passed them, but could not get up to Qniltiri, who won by little more than a length, Lord Zetland half a length behind Emmeline, with Lady Spencer on her girths.
