MONDAY'S PRODUCE REPORT.

(BT OUR COMMERCIAL EDITOR.) A few farmers were in town to-day, bat not a great deal of business was transacted. From enquiries, we learn of aalea actually effected to-day as follows :— A parcel of good milling Hunter's white at 3a 3d, a line of 300 sacks of Tuscan at 3s 4(1, & parcel of beans ac 2a 4d, and ai.other at 2s sd. Canadian milling oats at Is Btl, and a small line of Duns at la 7d. Some colonial grown alayke realised 6d, and two parcels of light inferior cookefoot were Boldato£d. Potatoes were being offered, but buyers are evidently not anxious, and business is difficult to effect. Ryegrass has fair enquiry, bat so many of the samples shown are so foul and dirty that buyers will have nothing to do with them. Chaff is slightly easier and some goodsized lines have changed hands at 523 6d at stations beyond a twenty-mile radius, whilst probably 55s could still be. obtained for good qualities at stations nearer to town. Enquiries are beginning to come to hand for seeds and, should the present bright weather continue, we look for some activity in this direction, as merchants are expecting their spring cowing orders daring this month. [These quotations, unless otherwise specified, are the net cash prices paid to the producer free of brokerage or commUsicn, and for delivery at country stations within a twenty-five mile radius of town. For delivery on board ship at Lyttelton add 2d to 2!>d per bushel].
