Thelnvicta (Kuatonu) crushed 16 tons of dirt for Lawsou, the yield beiug 3980z of gold, and the Otatna claim on thn same field crashed 401b of pickod atone for 440z of retorted gold. Johns and party, tributers in the OUma, crushed 601b of specimen for 83oz of gold. Several new cluima have been pegged out in this district. BLENHEIM, June 10. The King Solomon mine at Cullensville obtained over 200oz of cold last week. HOKITIKA, June 10 An extraordinary general meeting of the •hareholdera of the Humphrey's Gully Company was held thia afternoon. The local shareholders were largely represented and there were 70,000 proxies. A reaolution accepting the offer of Mr David Ziman to provide additional capital to bring in the Arahura river was unanimously carried. Mr Ziman offered to provide £20,000 at once if the Company will find the remaining *30.000 and start operations immediately. The came offer ia made to the 3ank of New Zealand if not accepted. Mr Ziman protides the capital from London and Paris. DUNEDIN.JuneIO.
