TARANAKI PETROLEUM.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) NEW PLYMOUTH, June 8. Great interest was taken in town to-day about petroleum, and a considerable number of shares were applied for. Indications of petroleum are being found in all directiona, the excitement in town causing many country people to search for indications. Messrs Samuel and Fair are now in Auckland, and leave for Sydney per the Rotomahaoa, Immediately the Company ia formed in Sydney, in about three weeks, several bares will be started simultaneously.
