Tbe letters N.S.H.W. of the commercial code have been allotted by the RegistrarGeneral ot Shipping to the new steamship Star of New Zealand now on her way from London to this colony. S.s. Talune, Captain G. J. R. Wald, from Melbourne, via Hobart and Bluff, arrived here at 7a.m. yesterday. She left Melbourne on 29th ult at 10 p.m. C-lled at Hobart en 31st, leaving at 1.25 a.m. next morning. Arrived at Bluff at 7.30 a.m. on the 4th instant; left same afternoon ; called at Dunedin on sth ; left again on 6th instant, at 3.10 p.m., arriving as above. Experienced N. to S. winds and moderate seas to Bluff, thence light variable winds and fine weather.
