PARLIAMENT OUT OF SESSION.

(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, Juno 6. Mr Thompson, MH. R., addressed, at Whangarei, the electors of Marsden lastnight. Mr Thompson dealt fully Avith the legislation of the pist session. He thought the indications pointed to a Public Works borrowing policy. He hoped not, but if so must insist ou gettiug a share for tlio north. Ho denounced in strong terms the Native Land Act, and said it was a disgrace to the Statute Book. It was stopping northern settlement, pauperising the Natives mid ruining their credit. A crying injustice had been done to the north by it. He would use every effort for its repeal, and he thought the Natives would bo justified in usiug every constitutional means to that end. He did nob think the Minister of Labour's view of the labour question would be a credit to tho colony. He considered the charge of "spoils to the victors'' made agaiusc the G )Verumont was unfair and not justiiied. He spoke with regard to tho indisposition of tiio Minister of Lands, whom ho considered was doing his best. Mr Thompson Avas accorded a hearty and unanimous vote of thanks and confidence.
