ALLEGED CHILD MURDER.

(press association telegram.) INVERCARGILL, May 23.

The Court-house was crowded this morning when Minnie and Charles Dean were jointly charged with murder. Inspector Pardy stated that since the last remand he had ascertained that the name of the child taken by Mrs Dean from Winton on the 2nd of May, and supposed to have disappeared between Dipton and Lumsden, was Dorothy Edith Carter. As an inquest was pending a further remand was granted for seven days.
